Final
Review
Reading a lot of law material is not always very easy. But if you
have to get deep into rules and regulations then you must think
about stepping into this area. Lokking at his book from outside
I noticed that it must have high details in regards to law of employment.
But I hadn't anticipated how deep.
I have had a look into the backgound of the typical reader. Many
come from universites doing their studies in law, risk management
or easy to say HR related university units. If you are going to
set up business then it might be quite good to have an insight into
this side of business. The analysis of the law pertaining to the
relationship between employers and employees.
When researching Australian labour law, the researcher first needs
to ascertain if the question revolves around federal or state or
international issues. Legislation consists of acts and statutory
rules or regulations. Legislation comes in many formats. What matters
most is not the medium, but whether it is up to date. Sometimes
you may need the superseded legislation as it was at a particular
point of time.
Since 1984, the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 (Cth) s 15AB allowed
for the use of extrinsic materials in the interpretation of legislation.
Working through this book I did have some problem to get about
the book. Some times I had to read a sentence twice to get the key
message. The letter printing wasn't always easy to read. But if
you work long hours in the consulting branch then it is quite natural
that your Eyes are tiered by 11pm.
The best way to work on the material was to mark pages with a color
marker and sections required by the university with PostIt™
Memo stickers. |
