  Final Review

This book is the right book working with firewalls needing to be up to date.

This book does not only teach you about firewalls - it also teaches you the details of network security. Firewalls 24seven helps you set up your own firewall from really small (386DX) to huge networks. Strebe & Perkins have set up some of the best case studies. They give accounts of their own experiences.

This is a great introductory book:

It shows you how to set up and use the most popular firewalls around, and gives you excellent security tips.

This makes me think about an article planned at MCSE Magazine. This will be about ISA Server and how to understand the new plattform. Proxy server 2.0 wasn't excactly as a firewall intended. Therefore it was necessary to develop a new plattform able to fit into the .NET ideology.

Firewalls 24seven is not just about theory, but it is about the things you will encounter as firewall guru. If you are a newly appointed security IT engineer this book is a must!
