Description
Published for the first time in 2002, The Employer's Handbook
rapidly established itself as a popular source of reliable, unambiguous
guidance to the increasingly complex legal framework that now governs
UK employment law. This edition has been completely updated and
revised to take account of all new legislative changes and incorporates
all the changes from the Employment Act 2002 and all new Regulations
and Codes of Practice. Also included is a new Equal Pay Questionnaire.
Written by a best-selling author and expert in the field, The
Employers Handbook is a comprehensive source of practical, hands-on
advice, presented in clear, non-legalese English. It identifies
both the legal essentials (what employers are required to do) and
the non-legal essentials (actions that are not legal requirements
but are fundamental for effective people management). Topics include:
- staff recruitment
- writing employment contracts aying staff
- performance management
- dealing with absence
- maternity rights, working hours and holidays
- writing a staff
handbook
- personnel records and data protection
- organizational change
- discipline and staff grievances
- terminating employment
- tribunal cases
- health, safety and welfare of employees
- working with trade
unions
Packed with model letters, forms, policy documents and procedures
for dealing with all key employment issues, the handbook is an
invaluable source of practical information for any small- to
medium-sized employer. The free CD-ROM, also fully updated,
contains template
documents and access to the author's website, which provides
regular updates on employment law issues.

regarding your staff must be keept in mind this excellent book
helps you get out of they of trouble.
Cushway is an perfect writer. It is so easy to read. After a long
day of having to review the results from our current assessment
centrers I am often not quite keen on reading so complicated material
but this book takes it easy. I like therefore very much and do
not want to part from it.
Why didn't I come past this book before? Now I am miles ahead
of what I once believed to know. |
