Will a better internet access secure competitive advantage for Europe? European politicians try to make us belief that they are doing their best to boost he expansion of DSL and LTE. But as Europe would be, LTE is not a common standard in Europe. Every nation has its own frequencies for LTE. Also, we europeans lack behind the american LTE based gadets.

The ipad 3 with LTE is only something Americans can play with. Europeans have again managed to block themselves from innovation. On a local level DSL connectivity is still poor in the large countries. Some o the smaller northern european countries connectivity is better than in any major German city. This is apoor example how national politics lacks behind reality.

It is time to call is a loss for Europe. LTE is so split up that there will never be a chip developed that can cope with all the different frequencies used in Europe.
