Today, many east-Germans have found a new career and a new home in Bavaria. This migration has allowed Bavaria to grow and gain further multicultural status. The advantages can be seen by the political and social colorful life in the heart of this state.
Munich is one of the largest south German cities. It is often referred to as the German Venice or Monaco. It is definitely a wonderful city to live. The high technology companies have a base here. Amongst these are Microsoft, Siemens, Oracle, BMW, Knorr-Bremse, Linde and other well-known global players.
The mid-sized companies here often rank among the most liked and preferred employers. Their positive attitude towards technology, education and international thinking is what makes Bavaria such a successful place to do business. All mayor airlines fly to Munich. Many rich Arabs come here for holiday or medical treatment.
The political environment is even more competitive. The long unrivaled CSU was able to keep their hold on the Bavarian Parliament for many decades. Now they need to share power with the liberal party (FDP). But even here, the new group called “Piraten Partei”, are growing in members whilst the liberal party is suffering a seasonal weakness.
